Is there a canvas object so for example I could have multiple canvases with their own relative positions, mouse events relative inside the canvas and have it clip drawing in the canvas?

I'm working on a game and I think a GUI library would be very beneficial.

That's it. But make sure to set is as a Unix Makefile, clang compiler and set the c++11 flags like it says on the Xcode page.

Then do sudo make install on the make file and boom. Installed. Then you can open Xcode and make a new SML app from the template.

C++11 only works on mac os 10.7+ I believe. That's probably why it isn't default.

You set the flags when setting up the Cmake.

It's in the tutorial section for 2.0. Specifically Cmake.

I compiled a simple application, zipped and sent it to him. It's pretty much the hello world application from the template.

And when you open the app, it just shows a message "Application unexpectantly quit".

Wait a sec, I'm gonna ask him his OS version. Cause I compiled it for OS 10.8.

You have to compile SFML using clang and the C++11 flag.
The flag needs to be for C and CXX.
I think it gets more specific in the compile for Xcode tutorial.

Oh, I stopped using SFML for a few weeks cause I couldn't get it to compile and work with C++11 on Mac. Mostly just linker errors.
