Hi
Many of you have probably noticed that very few commits were made in the last 2 months. I'm currently very busy doing something totally different (working in my house), and this situation will probably last a few weeks or months more. Since SFML can't wait this long, I've asked Nexus to be "me" until I can be available again, and he agreed to help :)
What this means, is that in the next months he will be the one who makes new commits, decides which features are implemented, etc. Of course the rest of the team (Marco and Jonathan) is still here, and I will continue to check the forum, the task tracker, and if needed, help with design decisions or very specific technical questions. And you, community members, can still contribute with pull requests or patches -- or more if Nexus decides that he needs more specific help.
I hope this will be enough to get SFML 2.2 released in a decent amount of time, and to start working on important things for SFML 2.3.

Thanks for letting us know. Take your time, and good luck with whatever you are currently doing (sounds like you bought a house and are playing the craftsman role for family? ;))
Alright Nexus, so you are the one we can target our cannons at, now? Get prepared. ;) Just kidding, congrats!

Hey Laurent! :)
I wish you all the best with your current projects and I'm certain Nexus will keep pushing SFML where you want it to be for its 2.2 release.

Hey, I wish you the best with your house !
I'm totally confident in Nexus' relay !
PS (and since you haven't posted that on french side) : Je dois faire le tour de toutes les maisons en constructions dans le secteur de Metz pour planter un panneau "SFML Creator lives here" devant :p ?

Just out of curiosity, will the SFML.NET bindings also be updated/maintained during your leave? :D I love C# and I also love SFML, so it's a godsend!
-
C and .Net bindings will follow the SFML releases, but no major modification will be made to them (sorry for the pending pull requests and tasks).
-
I think Nexus will do a great job and hope you're back soon :)
-
Good luck with the renovations/decorating/house-stuff! It's nice to take a break from computer stuff sometimes. :)
-
Hope things go smoothly for you; good luck! :)
-
Good luck Laurent!
And thanks to Nexus for agreeing to take over, to keep SFML going!

Good luck! Good on you Nexus to take over.
