What about simple +1 button attached to every topic (or post)? It would be very useful in „Future Requests” sub-forum.

Yes, I think it might be a good idea, but at the same time I also think forums aren't really made for that.
Not sure what others think, but maybe using Trello (http://trello.com) or PHPback (http://www.phpback.org/feedback/) might make the whole thing more transparent and could also help keeping the GitHub issues clean(er).
Anyone got any experience with these tools?

I've been using Trello for a few weeks, but I would rather say that it's designed for tasks distribution within team, not to get feedback or FR. PHPBack seems to be more promissing, but I have never used it.

Strong Trello user here. It has a power-up for voting + proper permissions you can set. So it's at least an option.
