if learning c# is not a big deal, what after learning SFML ? whether Unity or unreal engine 4 ?

Doesn't matter then, considering both change concepts. UE4 offers visual scripting and C++, while Unity offers C# and JavaScript. Besides that, I'd pick them based on licensing terms and what they ask from you. Personally not a fan of Unity due to their fixed 100 or 150$ per seat per month requirement, while UE4 "only" asks for 5% of your revenue no matter how much you make.

Depends on your needs, Unity has a lot of dedicated 2d game features, while Unreal in more catered to robust 3d games. Both can do both well enough.

Not really, Unity has a "Personal" completely free option that only lacks non-essential features - until you hit the revenue cap of 100K$, then you need an upgrade -, and Unity only takes royalties after 3000$:
