What is an easy-to-learn software to start create cartoons or animation movies for fun? I need an animation software mostly for fun so I could easy to learn it myself and teach my children.

Maybe you are looking for something like Scratch (http://scratch.mit.edu/)

I've never used it, but some universities are thinking on teaching the basics and they are trying to get expert people in this area.

It seems to be easy and children oriented.
