@Gobbles, understood.

There is many problems and stress that arise.

I wrote a song about it the other day, it is called, "The struggle goes on".

You can read about it here:

Hello Game Devs,

After seeing so many other posts similar to this I thought I should make my own thread about it.

Yesterday I quit my job to go full time indie. Currently, my 1st game is being finished and I'm quite excited.

I wrote a blog post here.

Please read it and let me know what you think.

I look for your wisdom and support in this huge life endeavor.

My dearest Morley:

Your comments for closure beckoned my reply. If only I could truly satisfy all of the wants of a gamer I would be of great happiness. SuperLongName.com( name most likely to change) is still within it's BETA phase. As most industries we face competition in our field. Our competition is quite competent as well. We do have a few things that set us apart from them. For starters, to host your content and use us as a platform is completely free. For FREE games we offer revenue sharing to our developers. We also have support for Win, Mac, Linux and the GCW-Zero.

In regards to the experience gamers have it is up to our developers to determine that. For example, I'm creating a rather large RPG project; while others tend to make small quick games. In regards to the manner of how we host files; they are backedup by our server. I will say; give the site a try as your game host/platform.

If not, just look at our resources and articles.

LOL,

The data has been up for a while now. I just forgot about this community, thus no mention of SFML.

Rejoice, at least you have two survey didn't survey data.

Oh crap,

I totally forgot to post the results.

They can be found at http://www.superlongname.com/posts/results-from-our-ole-2d-marketing-survey .

We also took another survey with over 300 people and half of them game developers. This is a different subject(gamer behavior and philosophy). Hope you like it.

So a while back we surveyed over 300 gamers, with literally half of them being game dewvelopers about their behavior, philosophy and more. The results were pretty interesting.

You can check it out below:

Update!

Games must go through an approval process with consulting to ensure quality all for FREE.

Hey guys,

I know in the wake of the new SteamOS, there seems to be tons of developers rushing towards Steam, but often time the Greenlight process takes far too long and is often seen as a popularity contest. IF you are looking for a community of people to show and/or sell your game to; checkout www.SuperLongName.com and branch our your community a little more. You can blog(including game-logs), add your game and events related to the site.

The site is free to use and we are growing nicely.

Give it a shot and let's make the world a better place through gaming!
