Doesnt every single game that has 3d graphics on some other OS besides windows use OpenGL? I know id software use openGL for all their titles and - I remember wolfire has some article about why they use openGL http://blog.wolfire.com/2010/01/Why-you-should-use-OpenGL-and-not-DirectX

no i am under windows 7 64 , its clearly running in the background as fps is changing and stuff.. but i am just stuck on opening screen telling me to press escape (Checked my escape button and it works) - any way to disable that start screen?

Is this really using vectors as the assets? Thats kind of cool, can you talk me through why you chose that? The only bonus i see to using vectors is you can zoom in and out with no blur

EDIT: NVM i see it uses png's my bad

Input.IsKeyDown(sf::Keyboard::Left);

What should i change this too?

Hi oneiros, the poll event did clear up the get event problem;

I have quite a few more though :(

such as input, GetInput, Key, and Joy

I would like to be sure that i got all the nonsense out of the way before i start really digging deep into learning SFML so im thinking if i cant compile a tutorial program no point to go further for now.

Hello guys, trying to compile a SFML 2.0 file since i was told that 1.6 has some bugs with AMD graphics cards :(

All goes well untill i get to your handling events unfortunetly some code gets highlighted red and i get erros saying that sfml/window doesnt support this or that action. Any advice?

Wait, sorry i didnt understand. So after i pressed the generate button. I still need to do more? What do i need to install

EDIT: because after the generate thing seemingly worked, the folder which i told it to generate in is still empty..
