Wayland support
« on: March 26, 2019, 07:45:12 pm »
Hello guys,
I would like to know if there is a wayland support I missed, if not, is it planned?
I found few threads talking about that but they all are pretty old so I wonder if things have changed?

I'm working on embedded boards in automotive and naval domains. We need a lib that can open a window and provide an OpenGL-ES context we can draw on. But it is pure wayland, no x11 at all (no xwayland, no eglx or whatever). So we are considering using SFML, but if we can't because of the wayland issue, we will probably use libSDL.

If there is no support and no plan to support it, can you evaluate how hard it would be to add? And will it be accepted upstream if someone provide it?

I don't know how "hard" it would be, but such a port would be great and accepted of course.
