I'll try to workaround this issue by recreating the window when the widgets is resized.

Try out the bugfix/xlib_events branch. I reverted back to using Xlib event handling, which should be compatible with GTK and DRI again.

EDIT : It would merged not before 2.4 ?

This is "only" a bugfix (although quite a big one), so theoretically it could fit into a patch release, but I guess we'll have to see.
