SFML featured in...
« on: December 10, 2018, 11:36:52 am »
As SFML has started to pop up here and there in different formats or places, I've decided to change the existing thread into a pinned thread, where we can post new things without having to create new threads every time. :)

Please post new-ish things SFML has been featured in!

Jonny just pointed out on Discord that Microsoft used SFML's Pong example in one of their Visual Studio 2019 Preview video to show off their cross-platform development features and more.

Thought some of you might find that interesting as well. :D

This is slightly off-topic, but while we are in videos that mention SFML, we also have this nice appearance in Jason Turner's talk at CppCon '18:

Nice! Cool especially, that they make a little excursion to debug the pong's game logic (paddle limit) ;)

By the way, SFML is meanwhile present in several C++ package managers:
I really hope that at some point C++ will get a standardized (or at least de-facto) package manager. After working in virtually any other language for a while, this part of C++ really feels painful.

Those who follow me on Twitter or hang out on Discord probably already know, last fall I held a 5min lightning talk at Meeting C++ 2018 about SFML. :)

Totally forgot about this thread.

We've had new talks by two of our maintainers featuring SFML :)
