"Revision tagged" = too late. Nothing can be added to SFML 2.0 anymore now.

How to download? I'm using Visual C++ 2010 so will I need to download the source files and compile myself like with 1.6 or is there something I can download that is already compiled and ready to go?

Like I said the release is not ready yet. You can download the sources from github and compile it yourself.
