SFML 2.2 tagged in repository
« on: December 09, 2014, 07:47:47 pm »
Yes. After 1 year and a bit over 4 months, SFML 2.2 has been tagged in the repository.

https://github.com/SFML/SFML/tree/2.2

But to make it a full release, we still have some work left and hope to get around this very soon as well.
  • Expand and review tutorials.
  • Create Windows, OS X and Linux SDK packages.
  • Update the website, with all the new guides and binaries.

Was the modifications to FindSFML.cmake tested with previous versions?

Great work guys! I'm really excited about the new features and improvements :) .

Will there be tutorials regarding the Android and iOS app development with SFML on the website?

Android and iOS ports will not be part of this release, so there will not be tutorials for them yet.

Now would be a good time to create a stable maintenance branch where only all bugfixes go and which gets merged to master regularly. That would prevent new features from delaying a maintenance release again.

What? Wasn't the release of SFML 2.2 intended to have the ports ready? ???
Either way, congrats.  ;D
