I know this is going to sound like nagging, but can we have a profile option to

change the skin of the forum to something with darker colors?

I know I can do that by changing my browser preferences, but that overrides all sites and can create formatting issues and I just want this site to look a tad darker. The bright colors hurt my eyes.

If you know of some other way to do it without messing up the way the rest of the internet appears through chrome, and I can do it without bothering anyone else then please tell me and I'll do that.

What about changing it in your profile settings?

Not sure if we have a darker theme available though.
Also most of the formatting is optimized for the default theme.

If you can find a nice dark theme for SMF 2, we can install it and let you choose it from your profile.

Any one of these are good for me. You might want to make the theme available to everyone, but I wouldn't know how to pick the one that is appropriate / seems to fit with the community, so here are three choices:

I personally like the first one (Blackened). However I remember doing manual modifications to some theme files for add-ons integration. eXpl0it3r, what's the status of these modifications after the latest forum upgrade that you did? Do we still have some, or are we clean?

Yes please - a darker theme would be nice. I also find the default theme too bright at night time (even with 'redshift' it hurts my eyes).
I don't care what specific theme is made available as long as it's something a little more "toned down" compared to the default.

I've activated the later two themes. "Blackened" had formatting issues, thus it would've been a pain to use.

The themes will need some modifications (logo replacement etc.), but I didn't want them to hold back.

Let me know when you find issues.

Personal advice: Use proper lighting in the evening/at night.
