Estimated time to new Graphics API?

It doesn't even need to be precise. A guesstimate would be fine. Please, just give us something to go on! I'm dying here!

Sorry but you'll get the same answer as usual: I can't give an estimate because it's mostly a design task. If I suddenly get the genius idea it might be ready tomorrow, but if I can't find satisfying solutions it might take weeks.
