A bit late, but since nobody commented on this, I thought I should at least give it a try.
This game is great! It's feels complete, animations look good, controls are precise. The only thing I don't like much are the low-res graphics. Why do you use 256 colors everywhere? This makes your game look absolutely old.
Another thing is the music. Do you have licenses for the Tetris song, Final Countdown etc.? I'd suggest to remove them as fast as possible to avoid getting punished by the proper companies (and by the way, the license holder of Tetris is one of those companies that really enforce their right relatively fast! Happened many times in the past).
Everything else is just fine. Your game has a complete menu (check the keyrepeat, it's a bit slow), several game modes, options and a highscore.
I hope you will finish your game soon and try to enhance the graphics -- even if it's only using truecolor images. Keep it up, mister!
