Soundbuffers and sounds

Hi guys, I was trying to play some sounds, I was reading the wiki and I found the following statement:

multiple sounds can be played (simultaneously) using the same sound buffer.

Does this mean I can play different sounds using the same soundbuffer? Or does it mean I can play the same sound many times simoultaneously, and for different sounds I'll need different soundbuffers? Thanks in advance
