A Visualization of the development of SFML, 2009-2014
« on: July 12, 2014, 04:58:44 am »
I've been a long timer casual user of SFML for awhile now, and I thought it would be cool to visualize how SFML's code has progressed through the years. So I uploaded this, enjoy!

You can easily track the names of the contributors as time goes on, as well as see the names of the folders as they are created, moved and removed. I find this stuff pretty dang cool

P.S. not sure how to embed videos, can I?

This is extraordinarily aesthetically pleasing!  :)

You can embed YouTube videos (by just linking to the unsecure URL) for sure but I'm not sure about others. It looks like Vimeo doesn't work  :P

Yes, you can only embed Youtube videos.

It looks really good, and it's fun to watch :)

However the comment is wrong: 2009 is the moment I switched to a git repo, the creation date is 2007.

Great idea! Was really cool to watch 8)

Also, thanks for showing us gource, the version visualization system! I could imagine this to be very interesting for a few other projects...

It looks like a game ! What's about making a game named "SFML : the game", with Laurent as hero ?  ;D

This was fantastic, I am so amazed :D since I was on it, I ran gource on my engine and on my first game and damn, it was pretty cool to see what I was doing all the time and how things progressed.

Thanks!

that's exactly what my coworkers and I have been doing as well  ;D. Grouce is crazy cool, changed the description so the information is correct as well now.
