I need a quick rundown on the new System component.

Hi everyone, I updated my code to work with 2.2 now. Everything is fine, but I concentrated in vb on using timers.

I would like to know if someone can give me a quick demo of how to get better timing now that there is a System component for 2.2.

C# code is ok for me too, though I'm working with VB .NET. Any tutorials tips or pointers on how to start making use of all this would be great.
