Goodbye
« on: April 28, 2019, 06:45:02 pm »
Hello guys,

I think I've been avoiding this for a while now. As you've seen in the previous years my contributions to SFML have been slowly decreasing to reach zero. It was a long, yet enjoyable ride during which I've learnt countless things and will keep good memories of my time around here, but I feel I won't make contributions soon either so I'd rather make it official and step down of the "SFML Team".

I wish all of you and the community as a whole the best -- and thanks already to all of you who are contributing, especially those who have made the macOS implementation better! Above all, have fun! ;)

Cheers,
Marco

Hi

First of all, thank you so much for all that you've done for SFML :)

I think we're all more or less in the same situation; code contributions are mainly from community members now. I personnally only have time to browse the forum and task tracker, sometimes I can answer to questions or review PRs.

Does this mean that we won't see you again here? Or will you still share your experience and knowledge on the forum and on github?

Thanks Laurent. I think I won't browse the forum much (I barely use my computer at home so..) but if there's anything specific question I can help with, feel free to send me an email or @ me on Github.

Thanks a lot for all the work you've put into SFML! :)
Your support for the macOS platform will be missed a lot. :(

I'd like to echo the thanks for all of the work that you've put into SFML.  You've helped make this project one of the best open source projects in existence.

Also from me, many thanks for all the great support for SFML and the community, in particular the extremely valuable help in the OS X port!
I hope you still stop by once in every while, even if it's just to say hello :)

Sad to see the Swiss team shrinking :'(
