downloading Visual C++ 15 (2017) - 32-bit causes a virus warning

I tried to download this but my MacAfee says there could be a virus in the file, and if I try the others it downloads fine. But if I ignore the warning and download the file then I am faced with another problem that it won't extract the files correctly. It is not extracting the include or lib folder.

It's a false-positive. We unfortunately can't really do much about it, but would highly appreciate if you can report it as such to McAfee.

The file was not extracting properly and after downloading it I got a virus.

McAfee just reports it as dangerous file, but it's actually just SFML, thus a false-positive, you don't have a virus.

If you don't trust the file, you can always build SFML from source code.

I had the same problem. I believe MacAfee WebAdvisor is responsible for this. I removed MacAfee from my browser and now the download works.
