Create an announces Mailinglist

See title, i would be very happy about it.
To be informed via Mail about new Releases and such things, containing a change log etc...

I installed WAnewsletter, but now I get errors and I can't use it. I'll try another one when I have some time and motivation.

By the way, if you know a good and free newsletter package, let me know.

I'm just curious... Why not just use the SourceForge's mailing lists?
