locale error by using sf::STring

hi,
When I use sf::String in my program (just sf::String test("hi")), I get the following error:
Code: [Select]

locale::facet::_S_create_c_locale name not valid - terminating...

what does this mean and is there a way for me to fix this?

This is fixed in the current revision on SVN.
