Started off with the idea of laying out SFML on a keyboard, plus the warm fuzzy feeling I got when I found SFML the first time. Just my two cents :)

Just fooling around a bit.  The text that makes everything up is from the source of SFML.

Stop crying :)

It was a little joke. But Logos should be realy clean and simple or not?

Just play a bit ... rearrange a bit ... the squares standing for the components

Would be nice if you could make the image a bit bigger, so we get to see how it looks like in a larger context.

IMHO the font isn't so fitting and the colors of the squares are a bit boring and it's hard to actually recognize that those should be four separate components.

Hello everyone, I'm IRC Guy, and I made the sports looking clean blue logo.  Semi-professional freelance web designer AKA "Silly" in IRC.

Not a fan of the "Swoosh", or "Cylon Raider" as someone called it, but it seemed to be a recurring theme so I put it in. Was just a 15 minute logo after exploiter showed me this thread, so no big deal. The Swoosh an old and over established logo trend that only a handful of brands on Earth can (or should) get away with. I would have personally preferred to keep it out, and for my next version I will do so.

The main thing that comes to mind when I look at the logo we have now is "Why is it so complicated?"
For a library that claims to be simple and fast, we sure aren't conveying that message very clearly. For the release of SFML 2.0, I feel we should move to something cleaner and more aesthetic to reflect the new features of the update. (Would be neat-o to get some more detailed info from Laurent about what he'd like to see if possible.)

Anywho, I promised I'd make a better one than I did before, and I suppose now I'll have to deliver. See you fellows soon.

A little more screwing around!

I just noticed that the SFML + clover should be shunted to the left a bit.  I'll have to do that sometime in the near future.

"Multimedia" is just too damn long.  I'm not sure I'm a fan of spelling it out, anyway, but I thought I'd see what it looked like.

I'd like to see some people experiment with a lowercase "sfml". Also, I'd love to see some experiments with clean, simple fonts (I think font choice can make a huge difference). I'd experiment with these myself but I've got homework to do, so I thought I'd throw these ideas out it inspires anyone in the mean time.

My minimalistic attempt:

At a small resolution, the "simple & fast multimedia library" label could be removed.

Well, it's always difficult to create a new logo but there is a greate rule that always works for those kind of things : "Less is more". The best idea is usually the simplest one, so I have just give it a try in order to give new materials to work with.

Something simpler this time:

For what it's worth, I rather like this one, most of all I've seen on this thread. I guess it might be a little used idea (much like the gears Laurent doesn't want), and possibly too game focused.
