I like 3, 4, and 10 the best. And I agree with Laurent, moving the power icon to the left may be better.
I use the latest build of SFML2

I like the bold ones more than the thin ones. So, IMHO, 5,6,7,8,9 don't look as good (they either are too long horizontally or look weird with the bold symbol near them). The symbol top and bottom should be the same as the fonts'

That said, I like 2,4 and 10.

I like variant 4 the most. Symbol and font have the same style (round and thickness). Otherwise, also 3 is okay. And 7 would be quite nice if it used a normal S (not such an integral symbol).

Concerning font color, a black/gray combination should be neutral and clean, it also looks good next to the green symbol.

I think that the SFML is a modern library and should really use a futurist font for its logo, like in the 5°, 6° or 7° iteration. Laurent, could we see a preview of the website ? That may help a lot to choose the color and the effects.  :)

I like it krzat, but the ellipse seems to belong to the past now ! :D
I tried to colorize/texture one of the previous Cornstalk logo, with gold effect for the text and green for the logo.
That's not perfect but it could give some ideas to people :

Here is a preview of the website. Don't forget that it is not finished (the style is still pretty neutral and basic), and that colors and layout can still change. It will be released like that because it is usable, but I'll work on it again after the release.

The empty space on the left side of the menu bar is where the logo should be.

For these, I played with a symbol that has rounded end points, like this:


I focused on the font from #4, as people seemed to generally like it. I can always try more fonts and more color combinations, but here's a few ideas (I tried to keep thinks clean, simple, flat, and minimal):

Note that kerning in the font and thickness in the symbol can always be fine tuned.

Have you tried to keep the green background, and make:
- the logo green with a gray outline
- "SFML" gray
?

There's a margin on top of the menu bar, the initial idea was to make the logo slightly bigger than the bar and overlap this margin, so that it doesn't look too flat. You can also try variants with this idea.
